AE Architectes works with international clients from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and beyond — full architectural service delivered in English.
Finding a qualified, English-speaking architect in Marrakech who genuinely understands international clients' expectations is harder than it should be. Most Moroccan architects work exclusively in Arabic or French. AE Architectes is different — we work with international clients from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and other English-speaking countries as a matter of course, and we deliver all project communication in English.
It's more than just speaking English on a call. For an international client building in Marrakech, it means:
A British, American or Australian architect cannot sign a building permit in Morocco. Moroccan law requires all building permit applications to be signed by an architect registered with the Ordre National des Architectes du Maroc. Some international clients try to hire a foreign architect to "oversee" a project while using a local architect just for the permit — this creates a coordination problem and usually costs more.
The cleaner solution: work directly with a Moroccan architect who speaks English, understands international standards, and can manage the full project from design to handover.

Based abroad and planning a project in Marrakech? Let's talk.
GET IN TOUCH →Do you work with clients who have never been to Marrakech?
Yes. We often start with clients who are still at the research phase — evaluating zones, understanding costs and assessing whether Marrakech is the right project for them. An initial video call is free and gives you a clear picture of what building here actually involves.
Can you recommend reliable real estate agents for plot sourcing?
Yes. We have worked with a number of local agents and can recommend those we have found trustworthy. We can also assist with due diligence on a plot you have already identified — verifying buildability, checking the title deed status and assessing any zone-specific constraints.
What time zone are you in?
Morocco operates on GMT year-round (no daylight saving). This means we are 1 hour behind the UK in summer, the same time in winter, and 5 hours ahead of the US East Coast. Video calls with UK, European and East Coast US clients are straightforward to schedule.
